Birth Day

About 6:30 p.m. Mommy started to feel some pains in her stomach. She wasn't sure what it was but she knew it hurt. When Daddy came home from work they decided to finish packing the bag to take to the hospital and put away things in my room. Mommy didn't feel any better but Daddy wanted her to sleep. Finally Mommy said she was in too much pain to sleep and they needed to go to the hospital. They still weren't sure I was on my way but they took the bags anyway. When they got to the hospital the nurses weren't quite sure I was ready to be born yet either. But by 7:00 a.m. they were sure. Everyone says I must have been eager to meet everyone because everything went fast from there. I was born at 1:01 p.m. I weighed 7 lbs 8 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. My parents were overjoyed that I was healthy. I was surprised there were so many people in the room to meet me when I was born. Mommy and Daddy told me that three of them were nursing students wanting to see me being born. After many months not knowing, Mommy and Daddy finally settled on a name for me, Josiah Thomas.
