I love being outside. Right now my favorite thing is blowing bubbles. I would do it all the time if my parents would let me. I don't quite understand why they insist I be outside. I also like sticky mess.
Today I was outside with Mommy and I wanted to plant some flowers. We only had one flower that needed planted. I guess this isn't something Mommy does because she was whining to Daddy about it. (She doesn't like it when I whine, so why can she?) So Daddy showed us how to do it and so we did. I watered it too. I wanted to water the grass but Daddy told me I would drown it. Whatever that means.

Welcome to my blog
My mom has done it, she can convinced me to change my website to this blog. I guess she thinks she can keep me on track this way. Mommy has transferred all of the stories from my old website to here. Since I know I am on blogspot, I no longer have a website I have a "blog". I also no longer write stories but I write "posts". I haven't written a story or post in over 8 months!! (My mom did add a few posts she wrote about me from her blog.)
My blog address is www.fireofthelord.blogspot.com. Josiah means "Fire of the Lord". Sometimes the "fire" comes out stronger than other times. The title is "That Funny". Right now that is my favorite saying. I understand that it isn't exactly grammatically correct but I am only three. It is amazing that I can type.
Here is the latest in my life. Every couple of days I go to Busy Bears. I have lots of fun there. We play, sing, dance and eat. They try to make me take a nap but that usually doesn't happen. I have a new room. I really like my new bed because I can get out. I did get in trouble one day when I was supposed to be taking a nap and I was "playing" with books. My parents really didn't like that I wanted the pictures out of the book. I love going to the zoo, the park and church. My parents are trying to potty train me. They give me stickers and if I get so many stickers I get a toy. I can potty on my own but I like getting toys so I will just let them think I can't do it.
I hope to be able to keep you updated on my life on here. I will also post pictures because I know everyone loves seeing me being silly.
I hope you enjoy seeing life through my eyes.

Today Josiah is 3!!
April 27, 2009 - On one hand, it is hard to believe he is that old. On the other hand, I can't remember life before him. Saturday we had a Diego birthday party for him. I am not sure why he picked Diego because he only had one Diego thing but he picked it out of 5 other options. We had a great party with many friends and family. Josiah loved the presents but not our singing. He started to cry while we sang "Happy Birthday". He looked scared. I guess he doesn't like that attention. I am not sure he gets that from me. In the past year, he has changed so much. He talks. He tells us he loves us. He wants a hug and kiss before bed. He loves animals except if they get too close to him. He plays with other kids. He goes potty, occasionally. He also tell us "stop it right now". (We don't like it but it does show that he copies what we say.) He has turned into a wonderful little boy. I am not sure how we got so blessed with him. I don't think we have much to do with it.
I also feel very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. Thank you for helping us raise our son.

No more!!
When Josiah was six months old we discovered that he had Vesicoureteral Reflux. He was then put on daily medicine to prevent UTI. On Friday we found out he has outgrown it and therefore, no more medicine. YAY!! This is a story from Josiah's website (from his perspective) about when he was first diagnosed:
September 19, 2006 - We went to Children's Hospital in St. Louis to get tests on my urinary tract today. The first thing they did was to take me into this dark room. They put me on a table and put some goop on my stomach. The nurse then put some instrument on my stomach and an image was projected onto a machine. From what I overheard they were looking at my kidneys. Then after we waiting for a little while we went into another room. This time it wasn't as easy. Everyone in the room including Mommy and Daddy were wearing these thick aprons and I was naked on the table. Why don't I get a thick apron?? Daddy was holding my arms while the doctor inserted a catheter. They put some liquid into my bladder and then everyone waited for me to pee it out. They wanted to see if everything was functioning the way it is supposed to. Mommy tells me I did a very good job. I only cried one time. We are supposed to get the test results any day. (Note: We got the test results back and it was determined that I have a reflux problem in which urine comes back into my ureter tubes toward my kidneys. The doctor said I could grow out of it but it might take 3 to 4 years. In the mean time I am on medicine everyday.)
The last two times he had the test were quite a bit more challenging. And since the test on Friday, he hasn't gone potty in the toilet once. We have decided not to push it for a few days because he says it hurts. Today we threw away his medicine. It was quite exciting. On a side note, I have something in the works for Josiah's website, so stay tuned.

Summer 2008
What can I say...my parents hog the computer. Speaking of hogs, I love them. Well I call them piggys but whatever you call them, they are one of my favorite animals. It is a toss up between piggys and elphies. We went to the State Fair to see animals. Daddy, Mommy and Grandma Frazee took me. They told me we were going to see animals and I said, "Elphies?" But they told me we wouldn't see those at the fair. We did see piggys, cows, sheep, horseies, and fish. We had lots of fun.
This summer I have spent time with Grandparents as Mommy and Daddy have been busy. I think they are sending me off again in a couple of weeks. That is okay I love being with my Grandparents.
The latest news is that they took my passy away from me. I am trying to forget about it but I just can't. I really like it. It has been about 2 weeks now. I was crabby for awhile hoping they would give it back to me but it didn't work. And then I was really tired from not sleeping so I just gave in. But I still don't like it. I don't see what the big deal is anyway.

May - June 2008
I know, I know. It has been a long time since I have written in here. What can I say, Mommy and Daddy have me busy. Ever since I showed them my joy for cleaning, that is all they let me do. Luckily today I convinced them that I needed a break. So, I will try to get you up to date on what is going on.
Shortly after my birthday, Mommy and I started to go to Play Pals. Once a week we go and play with other kids my age at this cool place with lots of toys. Well actually I don't really play with the other kids; I am just in the same room. But I really like it because I get to play and we learn new songs. At first, I just watched everyone but by the end I was doing the hand motions and singing.
I am talking a lot more too. I was always talking but I guess people couldn't really understand me. I call myself "Siah" and tell everyone how old I am. I tell them I am three but Mommy and Daddy correct me and say I am two. I know I am two. I just like teasing.
Mommy and Daddy took me to the circus. At first I didn't know what to expect. There were these people dressed up in strange clothes, with big red noses and crazy hair. One of them gave me a red ball but I guess you are supposed to put it on your nose because there is a slit in it. Why would I want a nose that looks like ball? We saw a ton of cool things but my favorite was the elphies!! It was the first time I saw a real elphie. They are so big. I was scared at first but then I told him "hi" and now we are friends.
We also went to the zoo. That is what Daddy wanted to do for Father's Day. I saw a lot of animals. But once again my favorite was the elphies. There were three of them. One was the mommy and she was giving herself a bath with her nose. I also liked the monkeys, birds and snakes.
Mommy and Daddy bought me an Elmo potty and they sit me on every once in awhile. This week I actually went pee pee in the potty. Mommy made a big deal about it and she gave me a sticker. I am not really sure what I am doing but I guess that was good. I personally think this is a private issue that I shouldn't be writing about but Mommy talks about to others all the time. If she can talk about, then I can too. I am proud to pee pee in my Elmo potty.

April 2008
Finally the weather is nicer. I have been playing outside some. It seems as soon as gets nice, it gets cold again. But there hasn't been snow so that is good. I went to the doctor and I now weigh 34 pounds. They also measured me and she said I was as long as a yard stick but Mommy and Daddy measured me at home and I am not quite that big. I must have really stretched.
I am now TWO!!!! I had a party and got lots of presents. I got many toys I can play outside with including a basketball hoop, a tee ball set and a soccer set. I also got books and clothes and my big boy bedding. Thank you!!!!
Grandma and Grandpa Donoho were here for awhile working on the house. I am not exactly sure what they were doing but Daddy was up in the attic, Grandpa was cutting holes and Grandma patched the holes. It was fun having them here.

Mommy's Blog
Well, my mommy decided to start her own blog. She is always on the computer so I don't get a chance to update my site. I guess Mommy has priority over me. If you want to be bored, you can check out her blog: www.alisondonoho.blogspot.com. I am sure there are stories about me too but those won't be boring. She finally let me on the computer so I can fill you all in.

February - March 2008
This winter we have a lot of snow. I got to play in it some but not very much. Most of the time the snow doesn't stay around very long. One time Grandma and Grandpa Donoho were down and Grandpa taught me how to throw snowballs. Mommy hopes I forget by next year.
Grandma Frazee has been down here a lot to play with me. We have lots of fun together. One time she brought Uncle Andy with her. He was on Spring Break. He is goofy.
Mommy and Daddy took me to see Horton Hears a Who. It was the first real movie I saw in a theater. Mommy tells me that they took me to another movie when I was a baby but I slept through the whole thing. I wasn't sure exactly what was going on the movie but I loved the big TV and the loud noise. And of course I liked the big elephant, which by the way, I can say now.
I am saying a lot more words. Mommy was worried about me not talking but I was just holding out on them. My favorite word is still "no". My parents try to trick me to say no when I mean yes but they can't fool me.
Mommy and Daddy redecorated our bathroom. It is a beach theme. It doesn't have carpet anymore. Mommy kept saying that we couldn't start to potty train until that was done. Well that has been done for a little while and still no potty training. That is fine with me. I don't think the potty needs to be trained. It seems to stay where it is supposed to.
This past weekend was Easter. I dyed eggs and my fingers, hid eggs and found eggs. I also got all dressed up for church. It was lots of fun.
Today was kind of different. There was a baby here. Baby Ella was here but neither one of her parents were. Mommy said she was watching her while Ella's parents went to work. I liked Ella but she didn't play with me much. I read her a few books and we watched a movie together. Don't worry; Mommy was there the whole time.
I hear Mommy and Daddy say that I am going through the "terrible twos" stage. The funny thing is that I am not even two. Just wait to see what I am like then.

Lots going on
January 31, 2008 - February 4, 2008 was an exciting month. It started with us having a house full of people cheering on the Illini Football. I guess we didn't cheer hard enough. It ended with snow...lots of snow. I got to play out in the over 8 inches of snow. Basically I just sat in my sled and Mommy and Daddy pulled me around. I didn't like standing in it because I just sank down. It was cold.
Sunday was the Super Bowl. Mommy and Daddy took me over to Kirby and Cindy's house. Several youth from church were there too. And Baby Ella was there. She was so tiny. She was cute. I can't wait for her to get bigger so I can play with her. I am still a little scared of her dad. Even before she was born he told me "to stay away from her". I am sure I can win him over though.
In my short life I have realized that weather changes quick. Friday I was playing 8 inches of snow. Sunday it rained a lot. Monday it was 70 degrees and all the snow was gone. I finally got to play with some of my outside toys I got for Christmas. I played with my wagon and my tricycle. Mommy also got out some bubbles. Those are my favorite. When Mommy and Daddy talk about them they say b-u-b-b-l-e-s. Don't they know I know what they are spelling??

November and December 2007
Okay, I know, I know it has been awhile since I have written in this. What can I say, being a year and half brings new responsibilities which is making me busy. Let's see if I can get you caught up on what has been happening:
I can no longer play alone in my room. I know, can you believe how strict my parents are. It all happened because when Daddy was throwing out the garbage bag of diapers he discovered that I put two shoes (not a pair) in there. The only way he figured it out was because when he threw the bag in the garage he saw a blinking red light. He went looking in the bag (nasty) to see what it was and discovered it was my blinking shoes. Mommy tried to wash them but could never get rid of the smell. I have new shoes now.
We had a great Thanksgiving and Christmas. For Thanksgiving we went to my Grandma Frazee's family. There were a lot of people there. My mommy doesn't even know who all of them are. It was nice to see everyone though. For Christmas we went all over. I got a lot of toys. My favorite is probably the bouncing Tigger.
For New Year's, our friends from Rantoul , came down. There were six of them that came to stay with us for a few days. I had lots of fun with them. We then had even more people come over for the Rose Bowl. Unfortunately our Illini didn't do very well.
I hope that in 2008 I will do a better job keeping you all posted on what is happening in my world.

Parent's are gone
October 20-28, 2007 - My parents left me!!! That is okay I had more fun at Grandparents' houses. The first part of the week I was at Grandma and Grandpa Donohos. Then I went to Grandma Frazee's and Uncle Andy was there too. We had lots of fun playing. I barely even knew my parents were gone. But I was glad to see them. I hope next time they take me with.

Not so cool weather
October 5-7, 2007 - In my short life I have come to understand that usually in October the temperature gets cooler. Well, the first week of October it was in the 90s. Daddy was doing an outdoor wedding and Mommy was going with. So Grandma Frazee came to baby-sit. Saturday night they also went to a bonfire. The bonfire was more to keep away the bugs than for heat. Another interesting thing about this October is that the Illini football team has been winning. I am glad because it makes Daddy happy and I get new Illini clothes.

September happenings
September 2007 - This month went really fast. I am walking all over all the time now. I guess I have been since the beginning of August. My favorite word is "ball" and I call everything a ball. I love reading books and watching videos. My favorite video is Veggie Tales Sing-A-Long. And I do sing-a-long. I have a new babysitter and she is great. Mommy and Daddy have to put everything higher because now I can reach things. The things I love to but shouldn't include changing the TV station with the remote, emptying the canned food cabinet, sorting the canned foods on the couch, playing with the computer keyboard, and hiding mommy's hairbrush. I really just like Mommy having to see the classic Veggie Tales song, "Oh, where is my hairbrush."

Labor Day Weekend
August 31 - September 3, 2007 (Labor Weekend) - A couple of weeks ago Daddy strayed something on the back yard that killed it. I believe this was done on purpose. Mommy says he just did so he wouldn't have to mow as much. But really it is because the grass wasn't growing well and the yard was uneven. So this weekend Grandma and Grandpa Donoho came to work on it. They tilled it up with this really loud machine. Then they put down some stuff that killed some more things. It sounds really violent, doesn't it. Then they put down some seed and watered it. Hopefully by the Spring I can play out there. Among all this yard stuff, Daddy, Grandpa, Uncle Ryan and Aunt Krista all went to the Illinois/Missouri football game. They tickets at the last minute. Mommy, Grandma and I went shopping. I am not sure how I got stuck going shopping but they did get stuff for me.

Preschool Open House
August 29, 2007 - Tonight was the ice cream social open house for our church preschool. I am not preschool age yet but my mommy keeps wondering when they will start taking 1 year olds. It sounds like she wants to get rid of me. Anyway, even though I am not in preschool I still got to go and play. The first thing was that Abbi painted my hand. I am not really sure why but she did. Mommy wanted her to put a love bug on my hand. She offered to put an Illini "I" on the other hand and Daddy liked that better. After that I played in the play yard. I had lots of fun.

Vincennes, Indiana
August 24-25, 2007 - This weekend we got to visit our really good friends, the Hampschs. They moved to Vincennes, Indiana last January. This is the first time we got to see where they moved. It seemed to take us a long time to get there but it only ended up to being a few hours. I was so glad to see everyone when I got there. Elyza showed me her room and we got to play together. She liked to hold my hand. I really didn't like that. Mommy says that someday I will want to hold girl's hands. Malachi and I got to play too. On Friday night, Mommy and Daddy went out to dinner with Pastor Duke and Holly and left us kids with two babysitters. I had so much fun that I didn't know my parents weren't there. It was sad when we had to go back home. I hope we can see them again soon.

First Trip to the Zoo
July 24, 2007 - Uncle Ryan and Aunt Krista went to the Card/Cub game in St.Louis today. Before they went to the game, Mommy, Daddy and I went with them to the zoo. It was a lot of fun. We saw elephants, penguins, and seals. One of the seals got so close to me that I got scared. I made sure that I wore my Cardinal outfit because Aunt Krista is a Cub fan. I didn't want people to think that because I was seen with her that I was a Cub fan. That would be awful.

Back with Mommy and Daddy
July 19, 2007 - Today Daddy and I went to get Mommy. We had to drive to this big place with lots of big planes. Mommy was on one of those things. She was so happy to see us and we were happy to see her too. I had fun with Grandma and Grandpa but I like being home too.

Fun time
July 15-18, 2007 - This whole time I spent at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I went to church with them. We played outside. I helped in the garden. Uncle Ryan and Aunt Krista came up and I had fun with them too. I had so much fun that I almost forgot that Mommy and Daddy weren't there. Grandma took me home on Wednesday. I was so glad to see Daddy but Mommy wasn't there??

My parents left me
July 14, 2007 - So a crazy thing happened today. Mommy and Daddy left me with Grandma and Grandpa. I wasn't sure what was going on. I started to wave bye to Grandma and Grandpa but then I realized I wasn't leaving. I didn't get upset though. I knew that I would have fun with Grandma and Grandpa.

Fun with Grandma and Grandpa
July 13, 2007 - Today we went to lunch with Mommy's friend Karyn. She is a lot of fun. And of course she loved me. Later Daddy came. He was supposed to ride the train up it was running late so he had to take the bus. Grandma had to go get him. I had a lot of fun with Daddy. He took me on a ride on the four-wheeler and we played in the sand. Grandma and Grandpa have a lot more stuff than we do.

Visiting Friends
July 12, 2007 - Today we went to visit Mommy's friend Angela. She has two girls, Sophia and Claire. We had a lot of fun playing in the sand box and walking in the grass. Later that night we went to see Garrett Jones play baseball. The whole Jones family was there. I tried to play catch with Allen through the fence. It was much easier to play with Luke. We were both on the same side of the fence.

Going to Champaign
July 11, 2007 - Today Mommy and I went to Champaign. We went to the mall but we didn't go to shop. We went to visit some of Mommy's co-workers. No, she didn't work at the mall. She worked with the 4-H program and they were having their summer show at the mall. We saw a lot of people that just loved me. Maybe people said to Mommy, "So this is what happened when you left us". I guess they were referring to me. We then went to Mommy's old office and there I got to crawl around and play. I got into a lot of things. It was fun. At the end of the day we went to Grandma and Grandpa Donoho's house.

Happy Birthday Mom!
July 10, 2007 - Happy Birthday Mommy!!!!
Today Daddy and I took Mommy out for her birthday. We went to this really nice restaurant. I felt a little out of place there but I just turned on my charm and everyone loved me. Don't worry Mommy; you will always be 27 in my eyes.

Mommy's in Champaign
July 9, 2007 - Mommy went up to Champaign. I went to work with Daddy and then Abbi came out to our house to babysit me. She can drive now!!! I had a lot of fun with Abbi. She was trying to get me to walk. What they don't know is I can walk, I am just choosing not to. I mean really if you can get everyone to carry you everywhere, would you walk??

Fun Weekend
July 5-7, 2007 - Even though I was sick, Grandma Frazee and Uncle Andy came down to visit us. They wanted to spend time with us before Andy went back to Georgia. We went out to dinner and went to Daddy's softball game. You would have never known I wasn't feeling well. I am a good actor. On Friday, Mommy and Daddy went out without me. I got to stay with Grandma and Andy. We had fun playing. Grandma and Andy left on Saturday. It was a fun weekend.

UTI again
July 1-7, 2007 - This was not a good week for me. I was sick. I was really hot and cranky. Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctor but she didn't see anything wrong with me. On Thursday they got a call that the results from the lab said I did have a urinary tract infection. I knew it hurt. I finally got some medicine and I am feeling much better.

Fun with Uncle Andy and Grandma
June 29, 2007 - Today we went to see Grandma Frazee and Uncle Andy. Well actually Mommy and Daddy went to see Peter Pan at the Muni in Springfield and Grandma and Andy watched me. While Mommy and Daddy were gone I played outside. I tried to catch bugs and I went with Uncle Andy to see how tall the corn was. It was really tall!!!! That next morning we went out to breakfast with one of Grandma's friend who was visiting from Arizona. I was worn out by the end of the day.

I have an aunt
June 23, 2007 - From what I saw the wedding was very nice. I sat in the back with Mommy until I didn't want to sit anymore and she took me out to sit with Grandma Frazee. There were a lot of people there. Everyone wanted to see me of course.
You know what is next.... Cousins.

Ryan and Krista's Rehearsal
June 22, 2007 - The time is near. I am going to have an aunt!!! Tonight I made an appearance at the rehearsal but then Grandma Frazee and Uncle Andy came to get me. They live just a few miles away from where the wedding was. Mommy and I stayed there but Daddy stayed with Ryan. Daddy was in charge of getting Ryan to the church on time. :)

Uncle Andy and Grandma Frazee
June 15-16, 2007 - Uncle Andy and Grandma Frazee came down to babysit me. Mommy and Daddy were helped with a lock-in. I like when they come down to babysit. (Only they know why!!)
On Saturday I went swimming and Bryan's parent's house. They have a nice big pool. The Linleys, Cincoski's and us all were over there to swim and eat. Daddy was really tired from the lock-in and he feel asleep in the pool. We were all waiting for him to fall off of the raft into the pool but he didn't.

Emily's wedding
June 9, 2007 - Today I went to my first wedding. It was Daddy's cousin's wedding. Mommy and Daddy were worried I was going to ruin the ceremony by talking so they brought all of these quiet toys. I was okay through most of it but at the end I just wanted to scream with delight. It is supposed to me a joyful day right.
My Uncle Ryan and Soon-to-be Aunt Krista were there. I guess there is some tradition that single men and women try to catch something the bride and groom are throwing. It all seems a little weird to me. Well, Ryan and Krista decided that this is last chance they will have to catch these things since in a couple of weeks they won't be single any more. The girls were first and Krista was right in front. Emily threw the bunch of flowers way in the back over Krista's head. Krista was upset. Then it was the guy's turn. The guys tried to catch some rubber band type thing that was on Emily's leg. (I know it all sounds strange to me, too) Ryan didn't get it either but it really didn't bother him. I think they should just keep to playing catch with me.

Daddy's gone
June 3-8, 2007 - Daddy is gone. :( He went to Mississippi on a mission trip. I really missed him. It isn't as much fun with just Mommy. Luckily Mommy had help. We went over to Cincoski's house for dinner on Monday. Steff made us meatloaf. It was good. Their dog scared me at first but then I think I scared him. Grandma Frazee came Tuesday night and watched me on Wednesday when Mommy went to work. When Friday came we were so excited that Daddy was coming home. We met him at the church. I think Daddy was excited to see us too. Now I get sad whenever Daddy leaves because I am not sure when he is coming back.

May 2007
The month of May, 2007 - Okay, I know it has been a long time since I have shared any stories with you. It seems that when you turn 1 year old, you get a lot more responsibilities.
In May my new babysitter started. Over my short life, I have had several babysitters. There was Ms. Holly. I really liked when she watched me because Elyza was there too. There was Becca and Candice. My Grandmas also have come to help watch me too. Now there is April. She is a little quieter than my other babysitters and sometimes she talks in a different language but we have a lot of fun together.
I am still not walking on my own. I really don't see the point when I can get people to pick me and carry me places. Also I have started to point my finger to get what I want. I have everyone right where I want them.
Some events this month included Daddy's cousin's graduation party. I got to crawl around on their shed floor and get all dirty. It was Mother's Day, so I had be nice to mommy. We also went to Rachel's second birthday party. We had fun playing together.
I hope that I will be better in writing in June. However, don't count on it. My parents are trying to get me to walk and talk. I think I am advanced since I can type, but they are worried I am not reaching my developmental milestones.

Roma's
May 3, 2007 - It has been raining all week. It rained so much that the church softball game was cancelled. That was fine because we had better plans anyway. The Hampsch family was in town. It seems like it had been a while since I have see them. We meet them, Kirbachs, Jeremy and Steff at Roma's Restaurant. Everyone was glad to see them. Elyza was really cute in her pigtails. Malachi is bigger than me. Pastor Duke and Holly were great too. I know Mommy and Daddy miss them so I was glad they got to see them.

My party
April 29, 2007 - Party time. Today is my birthday party. Mommy and Daddy (mostly Mommy) put a lot of time making this day perfect. I am not really sure why she was so concerned about making it memorable. I am not going to remember it. Several family and friends were there. I ate cake and opened presents. I had lots of fun. I hope Mommy has all ready started to plan next year's party.

A different church
April 15, 2007: Since Daddy was on vacation we went to church some where else. We went to First Baptist Church of Maryville. This is a much bigger church than what I am used to. I was with several other kids in the nursery. There were actually several rooms of kids my age. I am not used to being around so many other kids. I liked hanging out with the adults more. I cried when Mommy and Daddy left me but calmed down soon after they left. I was glad when they came to get me.
After church we traveled south to the Mt. Vernon area. Daddy's cousin, Emily, had a wedding shower that Mommy was invited to. (I guess it is another girl thing.) Daddy and I went to visit Great-Grandpa while all the women went to the shower.

Grandpa Accident
April 14, 2007 - Okay, I am going to try to tell you this story but it might get confusing. Just stay with me. Grandma Donoho was all ready here. Grandpa Donoho decided to come today to bring the railing to put up behind the couch. Grandma left before Grandpa because she needed to do some shopping in Springfield. About an hour after Grandpa left, Daddy got a call from Uncle Ryan. Grandpa had been in a car accident. Ryan let us know that he was okay. The accident happened right outside of Litchfield. Grandpa had called Grandma (who was still in Springfield) and Grandma called Uncle Ryan. (Ryan and Krista were in Champaign waiting to have supper with Grandma and Grandpa.) Daddy and Mommy decided to drive up there to see how Grandpa was. By the time we got there, they were cleaning out the truck. The truck was totaled. Basically this is what happened...he was on a two-lane highway. In the other lane, was a truck with a trailer and a wagon attached to the trailer... The wagon came off and hit Grandpa's truck. Luckily, Grandpa could tell something was wrong and started to put his brakes on. The wagon hit the hood on the driver's side. The only injury Grandpa had was a bruised ankle. Although there were no broken bones, he was on crutches and had a hard time getting around for a couple of weeks.

Mommy Party
April 13, 2007 - One of the biggest reasons Daddy had to get things around the house done is because Mommy was having some sort of party. This is something else that is really strange to me. She invited all these women to the house where one person tried to sell them stuff. I am not sure why people would want to come to a party where they have to spend money. While the women were upstairs, Daddy and I were downstairs playing. Jeremy also came over to hang out with us. When the "selling" part of the party was over, we all got to come upstairs and eat all the leftovers. Grandma Donoho was here too. While Mommy and Daddy entertained their guests, Grandma rocked me to sleep. I could get used to that.

New Carpet
April 9-15, 2007: This week Daddy was on vacation. We didn't go anywhere and Daddy really didn't rest at all. Mommy had a big "honey-do" list for him. Basically he was supposed to finish the kitchen that they started before I was born. One of the tasks was to take care of the flooring between the dining room and living room. Daddy decided that it would just be better to get all new carpet. So I had no place to play while Daddy ripped out all the old carpet and the carpet layers came to lay the new carpet. Our new carpet is a dark brown much like our walls. Mommy says that some people take brown out of their house and we just put more in. Mommy has to vacuum more because of all the fuzz balls the new carpet has. Every time Mommy vacuums, I cry. It isn't because the vacuum is big and loud. It is because it sucks up all the crumbs people leave for me.

Happy Easter
April 8, 2007 - HAPPY EASTER!!!! For my first Easter it was really cold. When we got to church Mommy took my outside for an Easter Egg Hunt. Well, the bigger kids were really the ones hunting but Mommy got pictures of me acting like I was hunting for eggs. I don't know why she wanted to get pictures of that. Everyone knows I can't walk and I can't eat the candy inside of the egg. I think I would have rather stayed inside where it was warm. Grandma Frazee was down to spend the day with us. She gave me an Easter basket with books and baby food. Yep, still no candy.

Swim Lessons
April 2, 2007 - Today I started swim lessons. Mommy and I got in the water. It is not like taking a bath. It is much colder and I have clothes on. I didn't really like it at first but then I got used to it. It seemed that Mommy was doing a lot of the work. I just laid there.

Time with Griffin and Grandma Donoho
March 28, 2007 - Today I got to spend time with my friend Griffin . I haven't seen him since he was really tiny. Although I am older, he is now bigger than I am. He a lot of fun toys to play with. We also crawl the same way. People describe it as a swimming/worm technique. I don't know what the big deal is. I get where I need to go.
March 27, 2007 - Grandma Donoho came down to see me. I guess she was missing me and Mommy and Daddy needed someone to watch me for the day. While I was taking a nap, Grandma looked in and I was standing up in the crib. Right then she got me out of the crib and lowered the mattress in my crib. I don't know what the big deal was I have stood up in my crib many times before but no one had ever seen me do it. Later that night, I was trying to stand up again and slipped and hit my head on the railing. Well, that freaked Mommy out so they lowered the mattress some more. Now every time I am in my crib, I feel like I am in jail.

Teeth
February 28, 2007 - Grandma Frazee was down to watch me while Mommy went to a meeting in Springfield. I wasn't feeling that well. Something inside of my mouth hurt. Then Grandma figured it out. I am finally getting a tooth. Over the next few days I had a runny nose and my mouth hurt. I now have two bottom teeth. Maybe someday I will be able to eat a steak.

Surprise
February 23-24, 2007 - We surprised Grandma Frazee for her birthday. Mommy knew that she would be bowling on Friday night so we surprised her at the bowling alley. She was excited to see us. She had no idea that we were coming. It was a good thing she doesn't require reservations for us to stay at her house.

Long Live the Chief
February 21, 2007 - Today is a sad day in our family. At tonight's Illini basketball game, Chief Illiniwek will dance for the last time. It is an end to an era. I am sure my parents will make sure I know what the tradition was and they way should still be.

More snow
February 13-14, 2007 - It snowed again today. It was so nasty that both Mommy and Daddy stayed home on Tuesday. We didn't get nearly as much snow as my Grandparents did. They tell me this has been the worst winter in several years. February 14th is Valentine's Day. Daddy took Mommy (and me) to Texas Roadhouse. Yum!

Super Bowl Sunday
February 4, 2007 - There are so many different sports out there. I have seen Daddy play softball, volleyball and basketball. I have seen Mommy attempt to play volleyball also. I have watched Grandma Frazee bowl. I have seen my cousin Adam run cross country. I think that sports are a big part of our family.
Today is Super Bowl Sunday. From just the way it sounds I thought we were going to watch Grandma bowl again. But no, it is football. This is a confusing sport to me but other people are crazy about it. We went over to Kirbach's house for a party with the youth from church. I don't think most of the youth even watched most of the game. They played pool and card games. The Bears were playing the Colts. Daddy was cheering for the Bears because of the Illini connection. The guy who first started the Bears was an Illini grad and that is where the Orange and Blue colors come from. However, he also liked the Colts quarterback. The Colts ended up winning.

Nine months old
January 27, 2007 - Today I am nine months old. I went to the doctor yesterday and I weigh 19 lbs 10 oz and am 29 inches long. I still don't have any teeth. I am close to crawling. I can crawl backwards and roll where I need to go. I think it would help if my mom wouldn't sit on me every time I get on my hands and knees. I guess she isn't ready for me to be mobile.

No power!
January 12- 14, 2007 - This weekend we had another ice storm. It wasn't as bad as the last one but we lost our power. About 2:00p.m. on Saturday afternoon the power went off. I was taking nap so I didn't know any different. That night Mommy and Daddy were serving dinner at Salvation Army so I went over to Kirbach's house. We only have one house key which is on the car keys. When we take the van, we use the garage door opener. Well, the garage door opener doesn't work when there is no power. It is too bad that my parents didn't figure that out until after they locked the front door. We all ended up staying at Kirbach's house. Mommy and Daddy went to Target to get some essentials to get through the night. Daddy had to preach in jeans and tennis shoes. Luckily, when we got home from church the power was back on and we got into the house.

At G and G Donoho
January 6, 2007 - Today we were in Champaign at Grandma and Grandpa Donoho's house. Mommy and Daddy were going to a wedding in Rantoul and Grandma and Grandpa were watching me. The couple getting married were both in the youth group Daddy and Mommy worked with when they lived in Rantoul. I know that was special for them to witness. I was invited to come to the wedding but they thought I would be too loud during the ceremony. I am not sure where they would get that idea. I can't be any louder than Mommy is.

December 2006
Wow, Mommy and Daddy have had me so busy that I didn't have any time to update this webpage. I will try to give a quick overview of the events in our lives. At the beginning of the month, Pastor Duke announced that he was taking a Youth Pastor position in Vincennes, Indiana. What this really means to me is that the Hampsch family is moving away. Although we are sad, we know that this is what God wants him to do. Mommy and Daddy have been spending more time with them before they leave. I sometimes got to go with them but other times I stayed home with babysitters. I can tell that Mommy and Daddy are both upset about them leaving. I feel that my job is to try and keep them happy. So, I smile and laugh a lot.
I am going to have aunt. Uncle Ryan and Krista are engaged!!!
Christmas 2006 - What a whirlwind. We traveled a lot to different places for Christmas. At some of them I was the only baby which made me the center of attention. I got more things than I ever will need. Even if I didn't get anything, I would have enjoyed it. I love spending time with people.
New Years 2006 - Our really good friends, the Jones family, came down from Rantoul. They came on Saturday afternoon and didn't leave until Monday afternoon. There were a total of 6 of them. I played a lot with the boys and April enjoyed spending time with me. I was pretty tired after they all left.

Ice Storm
November 30-December 1, 2006 - Let it snow, let it ice, let it ice!?! This was the first big snow/ice storm of the winter and of my lifetime. It iced more than it snowed. Late on Thursday night we lost power and it was off all night. When I woke up it was cold in the house. Daddy came to get me out of my crib and he put me in bed with him and Mommy. We kept each other warm until the power came back on a few minutes later. Several people were without power including the church. On Sunday we worshipped in the cold and without lights. I actually hung out in Daddy's office while everyone else was trying to stay warm by using the stove. They ended up to be a lot warmer than I was.

Seven Months Old
November 27, 2006 - Today I am 7 months old!!!! I can sit up for about a minute before I fall over. I am eating all sorts of things but I like fruit the best and hate meats. I still don't have any teeth. I love playing with my feet. My favorite thing to do is to dance with Mommy. Our song is Ain't No Mountain High Enough. Is ain't a word?

Grandpa Frazee
November 25, 2006 - Today we traveled to Pawnee to see Grandma Frazee. Mommy tells me that today was the fifth anniversary of her dad's death. We went to the cemetery. We laid some flowers down on his grave. Mommy tells me that he really isn't there he is up in heaven. I really don't understand it all but Daddy and Mommy will help me. I wish I would have known my Grandpa Frazee.
We had lunch with the Saucier family. I got passed around the table several times. After lunch we went to visit a friend of Grandma Frazee. Her twin grandsons were in town. They are only 10 days older than me. We had a good time looking at each other. After that Mommy and Grandma went shopping (again?) and I went to Grandma's house with Daddy. Finally after a long weekend we made it home.

Illini Basketball
November 24, 2006 - Today we were in Champaign. Mommy got up really early and went shopping. I don't get it but she was excited. She was gone most of the day. I hung out with Grandma and Grandpa Donoho and Uncle Ryan. I tried to help Uncle Ryan with the paper he was writing but he did like what I wrote. That night I got to watch my first Illini basketball game. It was exciting and they won!!

Thanksgiving
November 23, 2006 - Happy Thanksgiving!!! Today we went to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Scott's house. Everyone ate a lot of food including me. Mommy gave me some bread and mashed potatoes. I also got food that no one else got. I felt special. I guess that the weather was quite warm for this time of the year. Most of the afternoon everyone was sitting outside. Daddy was playing football with Uncle Ryan and his cousins. Before the day was over, Daddy had a black eye. One of his cousins elbowed him directly in the eye. It turned all sorts of different colors. After we left there we went to Uncle Jeff and Aunt Kim's house. There I got to see the Donoho side of the family. We ate again but this time I only got my special food. The day was finally over and we loaded up the van to go to Champaign.

Champaign
November 14-16, 2006 - Mommy had a meeting in Champaign this week so I got to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa Donoho. I hadn't seen them in a long time. They thought I had grown a lot. We had lots of fun together. We played with toys, watched videos and read books. I even played with toys that were my daddy's. They were really old. On Thursday (the 16th), Mommy took me to where she used to work. They paid a lot of attention to me. They were upset when the phone rang because then had to answer it. I think I distracted them from working but I don't think they cared.

Malachi Arrives
November 2, 2006 - The day we have been waiting for finally arrived. Pastor Duke and Holly had their second baby, Malachi Duke Hampsch. He must have really wanted to meet everyone because Ms. Holly was only in labor for a couple of hours. He was born at 4:27 p.m., which 4 -27 is the date I was born. I think that is cool. He was 8 lbs and 19 1/4 inches long. Everyone is doing wonderful.

Halloween
October 31, 2006 - Happy Halloween! I am not really sure what this holiday is all about but my mom put me some strange orange outfit. She thought it was really cute but Daddy thought it was silly. I got a hang out with the preschoolers at church and we went to a parade. I was really cold at the parade and I think Mommy and Daddy were too because we left early. I couldn't see anything anyway. Mommy and Daddy had a blanket over my head.

World Series Champions
October 27 - 28, 2006 - In case you haven't heard, the Cardinals won the World Series!!!! We are all so excited. Mommy and Daddy tell me that it has been 24 years since they have won. It is only my first World Series cheering for them so I must be good luck.
Today I am six months old. I went to the doctor and I weigh 17 pounds 2 ounces and I am 261/2 inches long. I had to get more shots. I think that is the only reason they take me there. Tonight we also went to Springfield and celebrated Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Frazee birthdays. They are 91 years old. This was the first time I got to meet some of my family on the Frazee side. I am excited to spend more time with them at Christmas.
Uncle Andy was home too!!! He was home because his school had a fall break. I think the real reason he was home was to see me. Grandma Frazee and Uncle Andy babysat me while Mommy and Daddy went to a wedding. I think they would have been down if Mommy and Daddy had a wedding or not. This way Mommy and Daddy got to go out by themselves. It was a win, win, win, and win situation. Grandma Frazee and Uncle Andy win because they get to spend time with me. Mommy and Daddy win because they get to spend time together without me. I win because I get spoiled. And the Cardinals win because I am cheering for them.

Sport Teams
October 18, 2006 - The leaves on the trees are changing colors and the weather outside is getting colder. On Monday Mommy and I took the church staff lunch and went to get groceries. It rained the whole time. When Mommy was getting me out of the van my sock fell off and my foot got wet. I wasn't sure what was going on. I was going to be mad if it was bath time. It rained so much that they called off the Cardinal playoff game. Pastor Duke and Daddy went Sunday night to the game. That was the game the Cardinals got beat badly. Every time they go together to a game the Cardinals don't play very well. Luckily, the Cardinals rested up on Monday and played very well last night and they won. They could win the series tonight. Our Illini football team isn't doing that great. They won against Michigan State but they haven't won since. Daddy still thinks they will win another game before the season is over. Mommy and Daddy are trying to get me to sit up. I can sit up but I fall over to one side if no one is there to support me. They are still trying to get me to eat gross food. I hope not all adult food tastes like that. I may just drink milk forever.

Update
October 9, 2006 - Wow, it has been a long time since I have written in here. I bet you are all wondering what we have been doing. Nothing exciting is really going on. We found out what was causing me to get sick so now I am taking medicine everyday. Well, my parents try to get me to take the medicine. I sometimes spit it out. It doesn't taste very good. They are also trying to get me to eat some gross tasting food. I would rather just have milk. I am still going over to Pastor Duke, Holly, and Elyza's house when Mommy is working. I won't be going there much longer because Malachi is about to be born. I am so excited to meet him. This past weekend Daddy, Mommy and I went to Great Rivers Region Conference for Daddy's work. Everyone loved me. I think it was just because I was the youngest one there.

The Diagnosis
September 19, 2006 - We went to Children's Hospital in St. Louis to get tests on my urinary tract today. The first thing they did was to take me into this dark room. They put me on a table and put some goop on my stomach. The nurse then put some instrument on my stomach and an image was projected onto a machine. From what I overheard they were looking at my kidneys. Then after us waiting for a little while we went into another room. (Note: We got the test results back and it was determined that I have a reflux problem in which urine comes back toward my kidneys. The doctor said I could grow out of it but it might take 3 to 4 years. In the mean time I am on medicine every day.)

Mommy's Job
September 18, 2006 - Today was the first day I went to Mommy's new job with her. She came in to help get some letters out. The lady Mommy works with has two kids and they were there also. Addie is almost three and Brock is about 4 months older than me. It was fun watching them play. When I get a little older I can actually play with them.

Godfrey Corn Maze
September 15, 2006 - Tonight we did something really fun. We went to the Godfrey Corn Maze. Basically it is a corn field that has been cut in certain shapes to make a maze. This year's theme was pirates. We went in the dark without a flashlight so that made it more fun. Daddy strapped me on him and we went walking through the field. A couple times we took the wrong turn and a couple of times I think we were lost but we got out with no problems. When we got out Grandma and Grandpa Donoho were there. They had come down to stay the night with us. One thing Mommy and Daddy told me about the corn maze was that it was very special and that I shouldn't walk through just any corn field. I can just walk through the special corn field.

Cranky!
September 13, 2006 - Grandma Frazee came to watch me today while Mommy worked from home. We had a good time until I got really tired and wouldn't take a nap. I kept fighting it and I got really cranky. I finally gave up and took a nap but not before Mommy called Daddy to come home for reinforcement. I guess I know what to do if I miss Daddy: just scream and cry for 45 minutes.
Elyza came over this evening. Pastor Duke and Holly went to a small group meeting and Mommy and Daddy watched Elyza. She can really crawl fast. She was all over the place. I can't wait till I can do that.

UTI gone
September 8, 2006 - Today I went to the doctor, again. Once again they had to check to see if my UTI was gone. This time I made it more interesting for everyone. I peed right before the nurses came to get my urine. So there was nothing left in my bladder. We ended up being there for two hours waiting for me to pee again. Well I did pee but the tube had come out so it all went in my diaper again. I knew it wasn't going to work but no one listened to me. They finally got a few drops and sent us home. We got the results a few days later and my urine was clear of infection. Mommy set up an appointment at Children's Hospital for me to get more tests. (YEA).

Run, Adam, Run
September 6, 2006 - We went to see Daddy's cousin, Adam, run in a Cross Country meet. We really didn't get to see much. We saw a whole bunch of people start and then nothing and then we started to see them trickle in at the end of the race. Most of the time Mommy and Daddy were trying to figure out if he was really running the race we were watching. They figured out it was when we saw him. Daddy started cheering him on and Adam started run faster and passed two people before getting to the finish line. Maybe someday I can run with Adam.

Labor Day Weekend
September 1-4, 2006 - This is Labor Day weekend. We went to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Scott's house in Bluford. We stayed the night there on Friday. On Saturday we went to Lake Benton Baptist Camp for Family Camp. Many of our church members have been going to camp all summer and this was the last camp event for the season. We had lots of fun especially when everyone was paying attention to me. Everyone wanted to hold me, even Jenna who claims she doesn't like kids. Since Elyza was born she is starting to come around. That is a good thing because she held me and even fed me. I hope I don't ruin her impression of kids. Note to self.... no spitting up or pooping on Jenna. We came back home on Saturday night so we could be in church on Sunday. Mommy says that maybe next year we will stay at Family Camp. That is really big since Mommy doesn't like camping. Her idea of camping is a hotel with a window.

Medicine and rolling over
August 28, 2006 - Today Mommy got a phone call from the doctor that my infection was not gone and I had to be on medicine for another ten days. That stuff is gross!!! I can't wait till I am over this.
I am starting to roll over!!! At the doctor's office I went from my front to back. Mommy and Daddy had never seen me do it. This week I am started to roll over from my back to front. Sometimes I forget how to get back. This stuff can be confusing.

Baby Dedication
August 27, 2006 - Not only is today my 4-month birthday but it is also my baby dedication in church. A baby dedication was a ceremony in which Mommy and Daddy made a commitment to raise me according to God's will. Pastor Duke carried me around the church so that I could meet all of my church family. The church also committed to help and support my parents. My grandparents were there along with Great Aunt Carolyn and Cousin Rollo. After church everyone came over to our house for a cook out.

UTI check up
August 25, 2006 - Today I went to the doctor for my 4-month check up. Also it was a follow up on my UTI. I now weigh 15 lbs 3 oz. They had to take another urine sample to see if the infection was gone. It didn't hurt as bad as last time. They also gave me more shots. Those I really didn't like. The test the doctor does in the office on the urine said the infection was gone. They set up an appointment for me to get more tests to see why I had the infection in the first place. I am not excited about more tests but it is better than having another infection.

Rice Cereal
August 24, 2006 - This week I spent more time with Ms. Holly and Elyza. On Tuesday (22nd) I was a little fussy. Mommy and Daddy weren't sure what was wrong. They thought I might need more food. They decided to try to get me to eat rice cereal. They shove this colorful, plastic, long thing with goop on the end in my mouth. Does that sound appealing to you? Well, it wasn't so I usually just spit it back out. Mommy and Daddy tried to mix some of it in my bottle so I at least would eat something more filling. But it wouldn't come out of the nipple. I would just suck and suck but nothing. That got frustrating. So then it was back to dumping the goop. Yea!!

Babysitters
August 17, 2006 - This week both Mommy and Daddy have been working. On Tuesday (15th) Candice came out to stay with me. She is a college student that we go to church with. We had lots of fun. We even hid from the Jehovah Witness that came to the door. I don't who Jehovah Witnesses are. I just know I am not supposed to open the door to strangers.
On Wednesday Mommy worked from home while I played with Grandma Frazee.
On Thursday Daddy took me over to Pastor Duke and Ms. Holly's house. I hung out with Ms. Holly and Elyza all day. We played inside and outside. We had loads of fun and Ms. Holly is going to watch me again next week. Yea!!
Daddy had another softball game tonight and the won again!!!

Mommy's Entry
August 9-14, 2006 - For this entry I am going to let my mommy tell you about it.
Hello to all of you. Thank you for showing interest in Josiah's day to day activities. Brad and I are very proud of him and his accomplishments. I am very honored Josiah wanted me to fill you in on our week. On the 9th (Wednesday) Josiah was in a crabby mood. It made me glad I could go to work while Brad stayed home. When I got back from work, Brad told me that Josiah was running a fever and that he had to give him some Tylenol. On the 10 th (Thursday) he had a fever at around 102. Brad called the doctor's office and they said that anytime a baby under six months has a fever over 100 the doctor needs to see him. Brad took him in to see the doctor on Thursday afternoon. She basically said that it didn't seem Josiah had a cold and there was a flu going around so it was probably that. If he still had a fever on Sunday we were supposed to come back on Monday. On Saturday night his temperature was 104.5. It didn't seem he was getting any better. On the 14 th (Monday) he was still running a fever. This time I was the at home with him while Brad went to work. I took him to the doctor. This time the doctor wanted to run more tests to see what it could be. She wanted a urine and blood sample. I won't tell you exactly how they got the urine. I will just let you know it was not pleasant for him or for me, who had to hold him down. They did some tests on the urine before sending it off to the lab. They discovered that there were bacteria in his urine. He had a Urinary Tract Infection. This is more common in girls than boys. So, after he gets better we will have to so more tests. Next time Brad is coming with us. Josiah started to feel better within a day of starting the medicine. We are grateful for that.
I really appreciate you taking time to read about Josiah. Now I will give it back to him.
--- alison
Thanks, Mommy. I couldn't relive all of that.
I would also like to mention that Mommy and Daddy's wedding anniversary was on the 11th. They have been married 5 years!!!!

Rolled over?
August 8, 2006 - Today Mommy went to work. It was the first day of her new job. Daddy had the week off from work so we were going to do some guy things together. One time after he fed me, he put me on my tummy. He walked away and when he came back I was on my back. He immediately called Mommy and told her I rolled over. He didn't see me. How did he know what happened. That will teach him to walk away. He kept trying to get me to do it again but I wanted to wait for Mommy. I was a little upset he called Mommy because I know she would want to see me roll over for the first time. However, Daddy didn't see it either. I guess I am the only one that knows what really happened.

Extension office
August 7, 2006 - Today we are still in the Champaign area. Mommy and I went to where she used to work. She worked at the Champaign County Extension office. Don't ask me what it is. All I know is that it has to do with the U of I. Several different people held me. Do any men work at this place?. I do remember one guy but he was always on the go. Watching him made me tired. After that we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We left to go home shortly after dinner. What a weekend!!! (Note: If you want to find out about Extension visit: www.extension.uiuc.edu.)

Rantoul
August 6, 2006 - What a day. Today we went to church in Rantoul. For those of you who don't know, that is just north of Champaign, IL. If you don't know where that is, we have problems. Mommy and Daddy lived there before moving to the Alton area last year. Daddy was the youth director at the First Baptist Church. We hadn't been back since they moved last August. Daddy was on vacation so it was a great time to visit. Everyone was happy to see us. They were giving Daddy a hard time for gaining some weight. I don't see that he has gained weight but I have only been around for a few months.
Ms. April held me all through Sunday School and Church but other people got a chance every once in awhile. After church we went to a cook out at Pastor Ken and Nancy's house. They have a pool. I even got in. It is kind of like a bath but people seemed to have more fun and everyone had clothes on. After the cook out we went over to the Jones house. Ms. April and Mommy just talked and talked. They put me to sleep. Daddy went fishing with Mr. Allen, Brett, Jerame and Luke. Daddy caught a big catfish. It was about as long as I am. I didn't want to get near it though. It didn't smell very good.

Meeting the family
August 5, 2006 - Some more family came over to meet me today. Great Grandma Donoho and Great Aunt Lori brought Heather and Tom over. They are Daddy's cousins and they live in Iowa. We showed them our house, the church and around town. We had lunch with them also.
At lunch Great Grandma was holding me and one of us knocked over a big glass of water on Heather. Everyone blamed me for it. I kept hearing Heather say "just wait till you are older and I will get you back". The whole day Tom was trying to tell me to cheer for the Cubs and Iowa. I think he is crazy.
After they left we loaded up the car to head to Grandma and Grandpa Donoho's house. Grandma's birthday is on the 3rd of August, Grandpa's birthday is on the 8th of August and my parent's anniversary is on the 11th of August. So, every year between the 3rd and 11th of August they get together and go out to eat. (Also, the 3rd + 8th = 11th) This year I got to join them.

Bread Co.
August 3, 2006 - This morning I went to work with Daddy again. Mommy came to take me at lunchtime so Daddy could meet with someone. This new restaurant opened in Alton a couple of weeks ago. It is called St. Louis Bread Company (aka Panera Bread). Mommy really likes this place and wanted to go there. Well it was busy and it is kind of difficult to get around when I can't walk yet. Mommy was doing juggling with her drink, her food and me. And just at the right time I dropped my pacifier on the floor. It was a classic moment if you ask me. I know Mommy thought about just putting it back in my mouth but she didn't. She ran it under the water at the drink station. Mommy and I were both glad to get out of there without me falling on the ground. (Note to readers: Don't go to St. Louis Bread Company or Panera by yourself with a 3 month old.)
Daddy also had a softball game. Ms Cindy held me trying to keep me awake. I was awake for most of the time until the very end and that is when it got exciting. Our team came back and scored 7 runs in the last inning to win. Yea, Upper Alton Baptist Church!! That really needs to be shortened. Yea, Uppers!!
Today is also Grandma Donoho's Birthday!!! You probably will never guess how old or young she is and I am not going to tell.

Bumbo Seat
August 2, 2006 - Grandma Frazee came down today. She watched me while Mommy went shopping. We had lots of fun. She read books to me and got a lot of my toys out to play with. When Mommy got home she had even bought things for me. She bought me some outfits and a Bumbo seat. No not Dumbo, which I know is an elephant. It is a Bumbo seat. It is for your bum. It is supposedly the new thing that everyone is getting. Mommy didn't want me to be made fun of by the other babies so she got me one. You can see me in my Bumbo seat in my pictures.

Karyn Visits
July 30, 2006 - Today Mommy's friend Karyn came to see us. She went to a wedding in Missouri and stopped in to come to church with us. She held me all through church and I didn't cry one time. We then had lunch and Karyn hung out with us for a while. Her and mom just talked and talked. I didn't know Mommy could talk that much.

My car
July 28, 2006 - We went out test-driving more minivans today. We went to several different places. Mommy and Daddy drove a total of four different vans. They didn't think they were going to settle on something or were they really ready to buy but they found one they liked and wasn't sure how long it would be there. So they bought it. It is a white 2003 Toyota Sienna. They told me that it might be the vehicle I will drive so I better take care of it now.

Three months old
July 27, 2006 - Today I am three months old!!!
Also today I meet one of Daddy's friends from Seminary and his wife. They live in the Quad Cities and are on their way vacation. They spent a couple days in St. Louis before going all the way to Branson. We had dinner with them. After dinner Daddy had a softball game. It had rained but it was still very hot. Daddy played well and they won the game. Yea!!

Finishing the Floor
July 26, 2006 - Today Mommy and I went into work with Daddy. We dropped Mommy off at a coffee shop so Daddy and I could have some alone time. We weren't alone very long as we to visit one of the church members at her home. She was recently in the hospital and Daddy wanted to check to see how she was doing. She held me while she and Daddy talked. We then met Mommy at the church. We all hung out there for a little while.
Later in the afternoon Daddy went back over to the Cash house to help Mr. Greg finish with Abbi's floor. We were all hoping the power would stay on this time. Mommy and I went over to their house for dinner. The only problems this night was that I was in a crabby mood. Eventually Hope put in video with talking and singing vegetables. I know it sounds strange but it made me feel better. Daddy and Mr. Greg got the floor finished this time. We are trying to think of what other projects Daddy can help with so we can go over for dinner again.

Soccer Mom Van
July 25, 2006 - Okay, previously I told you that currently we only have one car. I vaguely remember being in a black car. It was smaller than the silver one. My Daddy mostly drove it to work. When I was with Mommy or with both Mommy and Daddy we went in the silver car. (Isn't it amazing that I am so young and already know my colors??) Well one day Daddy was driving it and it started to sound really bad. They took it to the car shop. This isn't where you buy cars. This is where they fix broken cars. It should really be called the car hospital. When they looked at the car they told my Daddy it had "major engine failure".
For a few weeks Mommy and Daddy debated about whether to get it fixed or buy something new. Sometimes they debated each other also. Finally they decided not to get it fixed and to buy something else. It was hard for Mommy to say good-bye to that car since at one time it was her car. She got it the same day her and Daddy started to date. She says it was a symbol of their relationship. I don't think they need it anymore since I am the symbol of their relationship now. Anyway Daddy and Mommy started to figure out what type and brand of vehicle they wanted. From what I hear about Daddy that involves a lot of research.
Today we decided to go and look at some vehicles. We went to a car dealership in Missouri. We tested out a minivan. My job was to make sure there was enough room for me and not to spit up. Mommy and Daddy got to drive it. Everything was okay with the van but we aren't quite ready to buy anything. What was decided was that even though Mommy is resisting it, I think our next vehicle will be a minivan. She is one step closer to becoming a soccer mom. All I have to do is learn to play soccer.

G and G Donoho
July 22, 2006 - Grandma and Grandpa Donoho came to visit. They were in Southern Illinois for a family reunion and took a long detour to see us on the way back. They had a big dinner full of fresh veggies out of Grandma and Grandpa's garden. Daddy cooked out on the grill. Obviously I didn't get to eat any of it but from how they were all talking, it must have tasted good. I can’t wait till I get teeth!!

Night of the lost keys
July 20, 2006 - Tonight Daddy was supposed to have a softball game but the park didn't have power so it was cancelled. Instead we went out to dinner with some friends. I am labeling them as "friends" because they don't want to be identified due to the story I am about to tell you. I am going to change their names to protect the somewhat innocent. However, you may figure it out. (Hint: Look at my pictures).
We went to St. Louis Mills mall to have dinner and shop a little. We went in the Harrison's vehicle. Mr. "Henry" let us out at the door so we could put our name in at the restaurant. We had the stroller so Mommy and Daddy wouldn't have to carry me all around the mall. After dinner they got ice cream. While eating ice cream "Henry" noticed he didn't know where the vehicle's keys were. The last thing he remembers is giving them to his one-year-old daughter to play with. One reason "Henry" wanted to be unidentified is that he recently just lost a whole set of keys that were never found and he is normally not like this. They looked all over. They went back into the restaurant; they talked to the police, they checked to see if the van was stolen, they combed the mall. The next step was to call someone to get us and deal with it later. By this time, it was time for ME to eat. Mommy was feeding me in my stroller while Ms. "Danielle" and their daughter, "Megan", sat by us. Mommy jokingly asked "Megan" where she put the keys. "Megan" reached out toward my stroller. Ms. "Danielle" and Mommy were joking about maybe the keys were actually in the stroller. Mommy stuck her hand down between my car seat and the stroller and pulled out the keys!!! "Megan" must have known where she put them and was trying to communicate to Mommy where they were or it was just luck. At any case, the keys were found.

Stormy Night
July 19, 2006 - What a day!! This afternoon Daddy went to help Mr. Greg put down a floor in Abbi's bedroom. The Cash family recently moved into a new house and is in the process of building a room for Abbi. They are laying laminate wood flooring and since we recently put that in our kitchen Mr. Greg asked Daddy to help. We hope that was a good idea.
Ms. Tammi was going to pick Mommy and me up from our house so we all could have dinner together. In case I haven't mentioned it, we only have one car right now. That is whole other story. So the plan was going to work great, except we didn't count on Mother Nature. At about the time Ms. Tammi came to get us there was a major storm. We ended up driving through a lot of it. On the way to our house a down power line wire hit Ms. Tammi's van. Luckily it didn't shock her. We went through a lot of rain and wind. Several stoplights were out. We were almost to Cash's house. We turned onto their street and a big tree limb blocked the road. Luckily there was another way to get to the house. We pulled in the driveway and Daddy, Mr. Greg, Abbi, Hope and Noah were waiting in the entry way for us. Daddy came to get me out of the van while Mommy and Ms. Tammi waded through the water toward the house. The power was out everywhere. We ate our dinner by candlelight.
It was very hot so after dinner we went down into the basement while Daddy and Mr. Greg kept working on the floor. (Don't ask me why they worked in the dark.). We left late that night and wondered what we would find when we got home. The stoplights were still out and several trees were down. Everything at our house was fine except we didn't have power either. We slept in the basement where it was cooler. We got our power back in the middle of the night. The Cash family didn't get their power until Saturday and several other people are still without power. (Note: This had been labeled the worst storm ever in the number of power outages. Another major storm hit on Friday. To see pictures of the storm in the St. Louis Metro Area you can go to www.kmov.com, www.ksdk.com).

Bye to Uncle Andy
July 17, 2006 - July 18, 2006 - Grandma Frazee and Uncle Andy came down and stayed the night with us. Uncle Andy was going back to Georgia on Wednesday and wanted to spend time with us before he left. We had lots of fun playing together. Daddy went to speak at Lake Benton Baptist Camp on Monday night. Because he worked that night, he got to spend time with us on Tuesday. It was sad saying good-bye to Uncle Andy because I know it will be awhile before I will see him again. I can't wait.

Hanging with Kirbachs
July 14, 2006 - Today Mommy and Daddy went out without me. They went to celebrate Mommy's birthday, again. I thought we already did that? Does she get older every time she celebrates? I went over to Cindy and Kirby's house. Their house is different than ours. They put me in this room with a whole bunch of animals hanging off the walls. It is a good thing they stayed in there with me so I wouldn't get scared. We all watched the Cardinals beat the Dodgers. When Mommy and Daddy came to get me I was all ready in my pjs. I hope Mommy gets older more often so I can stay with Kirbachs again.

Fun with Hampschs
July 12, 2006 - Tonight we hung out with the Hampsch family who got back from a mission trip in Costa Rica last Friday. Holly and Mommy went on a walk while Pastor Duke and Daddy played tennis. Elyza and I went with the girls. I don't know why I had to be with all girls. I think I would be good at tennis. After that, we went for ice cream. I say "we" just because I was there but "we" didn't get ice cream. Everyone but me got ice cream and I got to watch.

Visitors
July 11, 2006 - Grandma Frazee, Great Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Andy came to visit us. I am not sure if they came for Mommy's birthday, to see me or both. It is probably both though. Uncle Andy just drove up on Monday from Georgia. Before that he took a trip to California. He brought me back some gifts. One is a black and white stripped bib from Alcatraz Penitentiary. It says that I was rejected because I am too cute. I think that is a good thing. It is neat that I get something when it is Mommy's birthday. Oh, don't feel too sorry for her. She got gifts too. They all stayed and watched the All Star game. I ended up being cranky and went to sleep early. I will try to be better the next time they come over.

Mommy's Birthday
July 10, 2006 - Today was Mommy's birthday. Daddy and I took her out to dinner. Good thing Daddy had money because I didn't. I tried to be good all day for Mommy but I was still tired from the weekend so it was a little hard. When we got home both Mommy and me crashed on the couch. I hope Mommy enjoyed her birthday. I can't even tell she is any older.

Princeton Trip
July 9, 2006 - We got up really early to hit the road. Actually I got up at the same time but we got out of the house earlier than usual. My Grandma Frazee, Great Aunt Marilyn, Mommy and I headed north to Princeton, Il to Cub baseball county. Yikes. I had to face it sometime; I have some family up in that area.
We first went to my Great Grandma Anderson's house. It is a great big house and Mommy says she has lots of memories there. My Great Grandpa died a couple of years ago. I wish I would have been able to meet him but I can't wait to hear stories about him. Great Grandma is trying to sell the house and move to a smaller place. Anyone interested?? No, well I thought I would try.
I entertained them all until it was time to go to a park to see more people I am related to. My Great Grandpa was one of eight children. My Grandma had 24 first cousins, which are now married have children and some grandchildren. I am told that every year we get together in the summer and for Thanksgiving. So we went to the park and I met a lot of people I am related to. Please don't ask me to name them, though. I will just call them my cousins and I think I will be safe.
Before going home we had dinner in Chatham with my Great Aunt Carolyn and her family. Daddy met us there. By this time I was hot, tired and cranky. My Daddy and Mommy took turns walking with me. Then Great Uncle Rollo walked around with me. He also was singing to me. I calmed down enough for everyone to hold me. Sometimes I just need to de-stress for a while then I am okay.

On the road again
July 8, 2006 - Today we went to stay at Grandma Frazee's house in Pawnee. We also got to meet Griffin Allen Boblitt. You may remember me talking about him a couple of weeks ago. He was born on June 16. His parents went to high school with my Mommy and Uncle Andy. I think this is the first time I have met someone who is younger than me. I am starting to feel old. Griffin is much tinier than I am. I guess that just proves how fast we grow. The real amazing thing is that they are Purdue people. I am sure glad I wore my Illini outfit. After dinner we went back to Grandma's house to wait for my Great Aunt Marilyn to come. She is from Wyoming and is visiting for a few days. Now, this is confusing because I have two Great Aunt Marilyns. One is on my Dad's side and one is on my Mom's side. I hope I can keep them straight in my head. It would be awful if I would start to talk about buffalo to the one that lives in Southern Illinois.

Fourth of July
July 4, 2006 - KABOOM!!!! Wow, did we have fun tonight. First of all both Mommy and Daddy were home with me today and then we went across the river to see big, bright and loud things in the sky. I think they call them fireworks. Tons of people were there. We sat right near the Arch. It rained on us just a little bit. Then it started. All of these bright lights going off in the sky. I have never seen anything like it before. Mommy and Daddy was worried that I wouldn't like them but I thought they were great. I hope we can see them again soon.

Fever
July 1, 2006 - Man, I am burning up. I don't know why but I have been hot all day. We had a long car ride back home. When we got there, Mommy and Daddy felt my head and then put something under my arm. I guess whatever it was told them if I was indeed hot. It must have told them I was because they squirted this strange flavored liquid into my mouth. After a while I wasn't as hot anymore. My parents think I was hot from whatever the nurse put into my legs yesterday. (Note: Josiah did have a fever of 100.9 but was fine after giving him some Tylenol.)

A trip north
June 30, 2006 - I went to the doctor today. I now weigh 12 lbs 4 oz. and am 23 1/2 inches long. The nurse also put something into my legs, two in one leg and one in the other. I really didn't like whatever it was and they made me hot and really sleepy. After that we went for a long ride in the car. We stopped once to pick up Uncle Ryan. When we finally got to where we were going we were at Grandma and Grandpa Donoho's house. Mommy and Daddy left me there. I went to bed they weren't there and then in the morning they were there. I was fine with that. I had fun. I hardly even missed them.

A guest in the house
June 28, 2006 - Tonight there was an extra person staying at our house. Abbi Cash stayed the night at our house while her family went to an overnight church camp. She is taking classes in the summer so she couldn't go with them. She decided to stay with us. It was fun having an older sister around. She feed me and read a story to me. Mommy and Daddy liked it because I went to sleep right away and slept well for most of the night. I didn't want to be rude and keep up our guest. It doesn't bother me to do that to Mommy and Daddy though.

Discovery Time
June 25, 2006 - Lately I have been discovering a lot about me and the things around me. I have a couple long skinny things hanging near my head. I can put them above my head. I can put them down on my side or stretch them out. What I discovered this week is that at the end of these things are a few even skinnier things. These things are perfect for putting in my mouth especially the shorter one on the end. It is kind of like the plastic thing Mommy puts in my mouth when I am loud except it is with me all the time. I just put it in my mouth and suck away. I have to be careful. If Mommy and Daddy see me with it in my mouth, they take it out and put the plastic thing back in. But when they aren't looking I put it back in.

Square Dancing
June 24, 2006 - Have you ever heard of square dancing? Well that is exactly what we did at our Family Fun Night at church. Basically, four couples stand in a square and dance while someone tells them what to do. Well, I guess that is dancing. Some of the people I am quite sure were dancing. Mommy and Daddy did it for a little while then Daddy strapped me on him and I danced with them too. Daddy even dressed me in overalls for the occasion. Everyone seemed to like it because there was tons of laughing.

Elyza's Birthday
June 23, 2006 - Today Mommy and I went to Elyza's 1st birthday party. Her actual birthday isn't until July 4th but they will be on a mission trip to Costa Rica then. She got to celebrate early. It was out at the park. Mommy says she got a lot of nice things. Whatever she says, all I saw was a whole bunch of girlie things. I got her a lion. No, not a real lion, a stuffed lion. Lions are a manlier gift. Besides when she snuggles with it, she can think of me.

Ice Cream - No Fair
June 22, 2006 - Rain, rain go away. I went to work with Daddy again today. I had fun with Cindy while Daddy was meeting with Pastor Duke. Later in the afternoon we went and got Mommy. Then it started to rain, and rain. Daddy was upset because he was supposed to play softball but it got rained out. Mommy got wet while going out for dinner. There was VBS again. So Mommy and I stayed for that. Since there wasn't softball we were looking for something to do. Pastor Duke and Holly suggested going to ice cream at a place in St. Louis. So, us and Pastor Duke, Holly, Elyza and Candice took a late night drive to Maggiemoos. From what everyone said it was really good. I will just have to take their word for it. I had to go all that way and they wouldn't give me any ice cream. Even Elyza got to have some. No fair!!!

Being with Daddy
June 21, 2006 - Today Mommy and I got to spend some time with Daddy. We went to the park where some older kids were meeting for a day camp. They were flying kites and decorating trashcans. I am too young to participate so I just watched. In the evening we went to church where even more kids were meeting for Vacation Bible School. There were a ton of kids having a lot of fun. There were skits, games, crafts and singing. Daddy would pray at the end of the opening session and he was loud. He was screaming at the top of his lungs and then all the kids would say the exact thing he said even louder than him. It was defiantly different that his normal prayers.

Father's Day
June 18, 2006 - Today was fun. It was our first Father's Day. I have a couple "I love Mommy" shirts but I don't have any about Daddy. Mommy even looked for some and couldn't find any. All that we found was a bib that said "I love Daddy". So for church I wore an orange and blue outfit (for obvious reasons) and the bib. After church we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Scott's house in Bluford. They didn't know we were coming. It was a surprise. Grandma and Grandpa Donoho and Grandma's sisters and their families were all there. Grandma and her sisters look a lot alike and I wasn't sure who was holding me most of the time. But Grandma kept telling me who she was so I wouldn't forget her. They thought I had a grown. They kept saying I had "filled out". Is that a nice way of saying I am getting fat??

Boys!!
June 17, 2006 - Girls, Girls are everywhere. All the babies at church are girls. A couple of weeks ago I went to a baby shower for Mommy's friend and all the other babies were girls. Even Angelina & Brad and Tom & Katie are having baby girls. It was basically Barron Trump and me. All he has that I don't have is money and that is totally overrated.
Times are changing. My Mommy's friend had her baby and it's a boy!!! Griffin Allen Boblitt was born at 1:06 p.m. on June 16, 2006. He weighed 8 lbs 3oz. That is more than I weighed. The proud parents are Tim and Amy Boblitt. Also Pastor Duke and Holly found out they are having a boy!!! Although this is more competition for me, I am excited to have some boys to play with. That is, besides Barron.

New floor
June 16, 2006 - Before I was born Mommy and Daddy started to remodel our kitchen. For many weekends Grandma and Grandpa Donoho came down to help remove walls, rewire, install cabinets, and paint. Everything was done except the flooring. Mr. Schudel from church had installed laminate flooring before and was going to help Daddy install it in our house. The only problem was that the day they were going to do it was the day after I was born. My Daddy wasn't a bad planner. I just came two weeks early. So we have been living with the "natural" plywood flooring. That is until today. Mr. Schudel came over and made a lot of noise, but not enough noise to keep me awake. By the time he left, we had a nice new floor. I can't wait until I can throw food and color on it.

Like Mommy or like Daddy?
June 15, 2006 - Nothing real exciting has happened this week. Today I am seven weeks old. Mommy and Daddy say I have grown a ton. I don't really see it, but whatever they say. I am eating 4.5 ounces of Mommy's milk every 3 hours or so. I go a little longer at night. I really could sleep all night but I like the attention I get when I cry. I smile and laugh at times but usually it is when I am sleeping. Some of the hair I lost is coming back. Mommy doesn't think I lost my hair; my head just got bigger. Currently I have blue eyes but those could change colors. I have one dimple on my right cheek just like my Mommy. They now wonder if I will have freckles, be hairy or both. If I am both, will you be able to see the freckles under all the hair??

Grandmas spoil
June 10, 2006 - Grandma Frazee came down to watch me while Mommy and Daddy went to a wedding rehearsal and wedding. Daddy was actually the one marrying them. I mean he was officiating the wedding. He is already married to my Mommy, just to clear that up. I had fun with Grandma. Mommy was wondering if she would have to retrain me after Grandma left. You know Grandmas like to spoil their grandchildren. I want her to be able to come back to play with me again so I knew what to do. The night after she left I went right to sleep and slept well most of the night.

Mommy's Check up
June 9, 2006 - Mommy had a doctor's appointment today. Daddy and I went with her because all the nurses wanted to see me. The doctor looked a little familiar but I couldn't quite place where I know him from. Daddy told me that would be last time we had to go with Mommy to the doctor because it is a girl thing. Does that mean going to any doctor is a girl thing or just this particular doctor?

I am in charge
June 8, 2006 - Wow, my parents had me out late tonight. We went to a special service at church and then went to Daddy's softball game. The game didn't start until after my bedtime. Mommy thought I would just sleep because that is what I did last time but I didn't. I wanted to cheer Daddy on. After the game was over, Mommy and Daddy went to eat dinner. Once again they thought I would sleep but I didn't. We finally got home and it was the next day. My parents thought I would go right to sleep since I had been up for a while but I didn't. I just wanted to let them know that I am in charge here.

P.K.
June 7, 2006 - I went to work with Daddy today. He had to go to a children's program at the park. I got to go even though I am not old enough. I guess that is what Pastor's Kids get to do. People have labeled me as a P.K as though it is bad or scary thing. Right now I think it is neat. I get to hang out with Daddy as his job sometimes. I have several people who spoil me by giving me gifts and holding me. And I don't get in trouble when I sleep through Daddy talking because Mommy thinks that is better than me screaming. I wonder how long I can use that.

First Movie
June 2, 2006 - I went to a movie today. I slept through it since I didn't understand any of it. Mommy says she stayed awake and she still didn't understand it. Mommy and Daddy were really proud at how well I behaved during it. I don't know what they expect since they are trying to teach me to sleep when it is dark. What I don't understand is why it wasn't dark for very long and then it got dark again quickly. Now I am all confused about when it is night time.

Another baby
June 1, 2006 - This week has been really non-eventful. I am getting bigger every day but people still say I am tiny. We went to Pizza Hut tonight and Mommy and Daddy ran into a couple that was in their Childbirth Class. They had their baby a couple weeks before I was born. His name is Elijah and he weighed over 9 pounds when he was born. That is how much I weigh now!!! It was nice to see another boy around my age. All the babies I have been around are girls. I think I will enjoy that more when I get older.

Memorial Day
May 29, 2006 - Today was my first Memorial Day. I guess this is a day to remember people and things. I don't have that much to remember so it was just another day to me. In Alton there is a parade. Basically it is a whole bunch of people sitting on the side of the road watching other people drive or walk by. Everyone waves at each other. Some throw candy at you and some are loud. However loud they were didn't really matter to me. I slept through it. I am sure I will have many more opportunities to see a people drive slowly down the street.

A month old
May 27, 2006 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!! I am a month old today!!!! And I am losing my hair. Mommy says that it is too bad I am losing hair on the top of my head and not losing the hair on my ears. I think Mommy is concerned I am going to be hairy when I get older. I wonder why??

Car problems
May 26, 2006 - Today I went to the doctor again. I now weigh 9 lbs 8 oz and I am 21 1/4 inches long. Mommy and Daddy were surprised at how much I had grown. I don't go back for four more weeks and I heard the doctor say something about immunizations. I am not sure what that is but it sounds scary. After we were done at the doctors, we went to the bank. When Mommy was pulling out of the bank the car all the sudden stopped and she couldn't go forward or backwards. Daddy got out to see what was wrong and found that the two front tires were both facing inward. I guess they aren't supposed to do that. They had to call a tow truck to come get us. Well, I am not sure how child-friendly tow trucks are so Daddy called Cindy to come get Mommy and me. We then got the other car to pick up Daddy. Luckily the car wasn't too hard to fix and it was done the next day. Grandma and Grandpa Donoho came down. Mommy and Daddy went out without me. I guess married people are supposed to do that so I was content to stay at home with Grandma and Grandpa.

Softball
May 25, 2006 - Today I spent the day with Daddy at his office. Some of the time I spent with Cindy, the church secretary. Later that night Mommy and I went to see Daddy play softball. I am not really sure what happened because I slept the whole time. The way everyone was talking, it wasn't a very game for us anyway. I will be sure to be awake for the games we win. Who wants to watch our team lose anyway?

Away from home
May 21, 2006 - This morning we went to church with Grandma Frazee and Uncle Andy. It was weird going to church and not hearing Daddy talking. I actually stayed awake. After church we went to lunch with Great Aunt Carolyn, and cousins Jennifer and Rollo. They are twins but they don't look alike at all. They are 16 and are very active. I hope I will be able to hang out with them when I get older. In the afternoon, we went back to church for another party. Actually it was another shower but I still don't understand why it is called that. This time it wasn't for us. It was for Mommy's friend, Amy. She is having a baby in June. Several people held me and I slept most of the time. Finally our road trip was over as Grandma Frazee and Uncle Andy took us home. It was nice to see Daddy. I think he missed me. I missed him too.

Rantoul Shower
May 20, 2006 - Last night we stayed in Uncle Ryan's room at Grandma and Grandpa Donoho's house. In the morning Grandma took care of me while Mommy and Daddy slept. When she was changing me I knew she wasn't getting the diaper on tight enough so I played a trick on her and made a mess everywhere. She didn't even know until she tried to change me and got yucky stuff all over the changing table. She had to do a whole load of laundry after I was done with her. I guess next time she will put my diaper on better. Great Grandma and Grandpa Scott came up from Mt. Vernon. I am so sure about Great Grandpa. He is a Cubs fan. After lunch we went up to Rantoul. Mommy and Daddy used to live there. April (you know from the Jones family) was having a party for us. Everyone kept calling it a shower but I don't like baths and probably won't like showers so I would rather call it a party. Many people came with gifts. And the gifts were for me!! There were people there from Mommy's old job, the church they went to, friends they had since college, and family. After all that we traveled to Grandma Frazee's house. Mommy and I stayed the night there but Daddy had to go home because he had to work on Sunday.
