Globetrotters - January 3, 2010

Mommy and Daddy took me to see a basketball game. But they kept telling me it wasn't a normal basketball game. The players did many funny things. Some of it was kind of mean but Mommy and Daddy told me that it wasn't very nice to pull down someone's shorts. I have never seen Daddy play basketball like that.

Snow! Snow!

It has snowed a few times this winter. And a few times I have been able to play in the snow. One time I got to play with Grandma Donoho at her house and then Mommy and I got to play one day when I didn't have school because of snow. I like playing in the snow. I like making snowballs and throwing them at whoever I can. I made a snowman with Grandma. Playing in the snow is one thing I do love about winter.

Rookie Basketball

Mommy and Daddy have signed me up for Rookie Baseball, Rookie Soccer and Rookie Basketball. I guess I must be a rookie. Out of all of those I liked basketball the best. For 6 Saturdays we went to a school gym and my coaches taught me dribbling, shooting and defense. They even taught me how to take a charge. Daddy really enjoyed it but falling down was not my favorite thing to do.

Here are some pictures:

Santa Claus

I am been so busy with all my toys I got for Christmas that I haven't had to time to tell you about when Santa Claus came to visit my school.
We had a party with lots of food and right when I sat down to eat, Santa and Mrs. Claus came in. Mommy and Daddy told me they would be there so I made a list of what I wanted for Christmas. I wasn't going to talk to him. I am so sure of all the red he wears and his white beard. Some of my friends went and talked to him but I kept my distance.
After I had eaten my snacks I started to play and where I wanted to play was right by Santa but I still kept my distance. Then Mrs. Claus left and there was an open seat next to Santa so I sat there. Santa knew my name and he started to talking to me. I still wasn't too sure about him. But he kept talking to me.
Eventually I got closer to him and even sat on his lap. I guess that is what you are supposed to do. My mom gave me my list and I gave it to Santa because I still wasn't going to talk to him. But he must of read my list because I got exactly what I wanted from Santa. The Veggie Tales Pirate ship. I love it.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells......

Did you know I could sing Jingle Bells in Spanish??? When I first started to sing it around the house Mommy and Daddy thought Ms. Tammi taught me it in preschool but she doesn't know Spanish. I just taught myself. It really isn't that hard when you are singing to people who don't know Spanish.

I did have a Christmas program. It was at our church and my preschool friends were in it too. There were a lot of people there. I was a little nervous but I just did what Mrs. Cash told me to. The thing around my head kept falling down onto my face. We sang some songs and told some stories. Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Frazee and Grandma and Grandpa Donoho were all there. They all said they were proud of me. It was fun. I can't wait till next year.
